About Brahmasree Prof. Dr. Padur Subramania Shastri
Brahmasree Prof. Dr. Padur Subramania Shastri was born in 1972 in a small village named Badur in Palgat district of Kerala. At the age of eight, he went to Chittoor Vedashastra Patasala for Vedic studies and schooling and completed his Vedic studies and schooling in 1988. From 1988 to 93 he pursued his traditional astrological studies under the guidance of Kerala's famous astrologer “Prashnikabhushanam” Sri Krishnanunni Panikkar as a “Gurukula System” Meanwhile he completed BA in Sanskrit from Government Victoria College, Palghat with 1st Class. He went to Chennai for higher studies and completed MA in Sanskrit in 1995 with first rank and PhD in Sanskrit-Sahitya in 2002 from the prestigious University of Madras. He joined the "Ayurvedic Trust" family in Coimbatore, where he worked as the Director of the Department of Yajnopathy and Medical Astrology, and as a Sanskrit Lecturer in their Coimbatore Ayurvedic College from 2002 to 2007. From 2003 to 2006 under the Vikatan group "Shaktivikatan" was published as a book in the famous Tamil fortnightly magazine "Arthamulla Homangal" which was reprinted many times with good response. "The Express Star Teller" published a series of articles on Medical Astrology for 2 years under the name "Ayurvedic Medical Astrology" by Dr. Srividya Subramanian and Dr. Sastrikal.
In 2007, he joined SASTRA University, Thanjavur, where he prepared MA-Astrology syllabus and study materials and tools for admission of more than 500 students to MA-Astrology. In 2010, he joined PRIST University, Thanjavur and was consequently promoted as Professor and Head of the Department of Sanskrit and Astrology in 2013. In 2011, he published a series of articles in the Tamil magazine Trishakti titled “Valam Darham Vastu”. 2013.
He received his PhD from Bharathidasan University in 2015 for his thesis on “Study of Astrological Yogas”. Prepared syllabus and study materials for Diploma in Astrology, BA Degree in Astrology and MA Degree in Astrology, MPhil Degree in Astrology at PRIST University. He was instrumental in enrolling more than 1000 students for various courses in Astrology and supervised 16 PhD students in Astrology and guided 10 PhD students. He has enrolled a total of 155 students for MPhil in Astrology and 43 students for Ph.D.
Now Dr. Sastrikal is working as Professor of Sanskrit and Astrology and Coordinator of Indian Knowledge System and Indian Heritage and Higher Education at Sri Swaminarayan University, Kalol, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
He has authored more than 35 books and published more than 50 international articles in UGC recognized astrological journals. He is a traditional and qualified astrologer and Vedic scholar with over 30 years of field knowledge in predictive and remedial astrology.
